About this deal

And coconuts are THE WORST TYPE OF NUTS. Daisy very firmly believes that they shouldn't be allowed at a funfair. Daisy wants to help. Together with Gabby and Dylan, she forms her own detective agency. Armed with a notebook, a magnifying glass, a camera and a box of icing sugar, she sets out on the burglars' trail. Daisy is your not-so-ordinary main character... wherever she goes, whatever she does... well, there always seems to be some sort of trouble! Daisy is usually happy with her strawberry Dip Dab lollies or Crunchy Cream biscuits, but when Easter comes round, it's all about chocolate. Kristy and her friend Rachel are going on vacation and they are really excited. They have chosen a place known as Rainspell Island and they are thrilled to finally get their vacation started. Even though they know that it is going to be awesome for sure, they still have no concept when it comes to just what type of adventure is magically waiting for them. Digital Talking Books (DTB) go far beyond the limits imposed on analog audio books because they can include not just the audio rendition of the work, but also the full textual content and images. Because the textual content file is synchronized with the audio file, a DTB offers multiple sensory inputs to readers, a great benefit to, for example, learning-disabled readers. Some visually impaired readers may choose to listen to most of the book, but find that inspecting the images provides information not available in the narrative flow. Others may opt to skip the audio presentation altogether and instead view the text file via screen-enlarging software. Braille readers may prefer to read some or all of the document via a refreshable Braille display device connected to their DTB player and accessing the textual content file. DTBs containing a textual content file but no audio material might be accessed via synthetic speech, screen-enlarging software, or a Braille device.Leadership And Common Bonds: Transformative Change and Civil Rights Grounding from Maryland’s Seventh Congressional District; The Honorable Kweisi Mfume, United States House of Representatives, Seventh Congressional District; Maryland

The Digital Accessible Information SYstem (DAISY) format is a means of creating digital talking books for people who wish to hear--and to navigate--written material presented in an audible format. DAISY helps those with "print disabilities," including blindness, impaired vision, and dyslexia, to read electronic texts that have been converted into its format. The DAISY consortium was formed in 1996 by talking book libraries around the world to lead the transition from analog talking books into digital format. First, you'll need a device that can read DAISY files. There's a list of all the suitable devices on daisy.org. Three DAISY format standards are in use today, the oldest of which is the most common worldwide and is referred to as DAISY 2.02. The National Library Service uses DAISY / NISO 2002, which, as the name implies, was released in 2002. Work is ongoing to create the next version of the standard, DAISY 4, which will add support for multimedia and test administration tools.A brilliantly funny story of Christmas chaos starring the one and only Daisy, from the bestselling author behind the hilarious OI FROG series. Our Talking Books are available on DAISY CDs that hold around 25 hours of audio, all playable on the DAISY player of your choice. They’re loaded with chapters and sections so that our members can jump around the text at will – giving blind and partially sighted people the same reading opportunities as sighted people. What makes DAISY so useful? There are three types of DAISY books. One is audio-only DAISY, which is the most common. This is the kind of book that the National Library Service in the US produces. This format provides minimal text content and a set of recordings that the reader hears when the book is played. Audio only is commonly used for recreational reading employing live human narration. EVERY TIME Daisy’s Mum tells her off for a bad habit, Daisy reminds Mum of when she did the same! Daisy is certainly very observant. . .
